My
grandfather David Scofield is about 95 years old
in this photo. My mother and his wife Alice are
at his side. He was born in China in 1906 to
Christian missionary parents. He lived the first
19 years of his life in China. He could speak
the Chinese language fluently. When he came to
America for the first time, it was a tremendous
culture shock for him. |
